Swirling Thoughts

Photo Credits: unsplash.com/Marek Okon You got me stumped, Now I must think. How can I even contemplate, the idea of swirling? Its either an ice-cream being swirled in a mix, Or maybe it’s some plasticine, Made from rows of colored sticks? I’m not sure if I got this one, And I’m not sure if I can see, If anything around can swirl into my brain, Just to make sense of this word ‘swirl’ for me.   At first I thought maybe its dancing, With my skirt swirling around my knees, But suddenly realized I’d fall flat on my face If some swirling really took place! Considering next a few splashes of paint Thrown on a paper to create a design, Suddenly that swirl made a lot of sense Understanding right before my eyes. So okay Eugenia, think I’ve got a writing plan And a way to take swirl ‘mainstream’. Kindly make it a little easier, for me to think again Cause this one, is hodgepodge on my screen!   26/03/2021 Thank You for stopping ...

Just Thinking Out Loud: Life with Me is a Limited Time Edition!

Time In clearing the drafts in my email something popped up, "life with me is a limited time edition." So, here I go wondering where that line came from and saw it was from me - smile! I just have to smile at that cocky line which would have come about from somewhere unknown right now. If a thought comes to me I've been making notes on the 'notes app'  on my mobile or in my email drafts. Sometimes I go back and continue, or, the words can be left behind along with the memory of why it came to light. Writing can be a lot of fun when you pull everything together and a post or article is the finished product. When its incomplete if there is a residual remainder, the tale may never make it to the eyes of others. This brings me to some random thoughts on ending the year in a state of completeness. Is it necessary to complete? "To complete is to finish, making that which was started whole or brought to an end. Nothing more can be added, and even if s...

Welcome to "Bee Social" Hive

To"beBee" or To beBee  that is the question? Well friends, I'm sure by now you may have heard about a new social media platform called beBee.    This social media site originates from Spain and has buzzed its way to the Top of my social media listing. In fact, when you like something a lot you want to see it grow. Like an adopted child I've embraced this website and its 'affinity style' of being social. The owners have made it their business to be around, and they are quite good at being present.   This beBee affinity social media network embraces its followers, and bloggers. To grow they've been letting the people who are using the site promote the site - and have appointed Ambassadors over the months from their international blogging community. Yes, we love this so much we are helping folks we have only met online grow this community - so this is international integration and affinity!    As the world continues to build international ...

WHO ARE THE BLOGGERS - CHEERLEADERS.. PART 3

The Past From the days of  William Shakespeare, writers have longed to cultivate an audience willing to listen. In fact, from the beginning of time there have been writers of words, documenting cultural and social issues. Histories have been told illustrating the wonder of storytelling, imagination and society. Things have simply evolved, with bloggers taking the mantle of “social speech”. This is a historic occasion, a time when documenting life has become three dimensional, embracing reality, perceptions, possibilities! Technology and the present ‘Big data'( a collection of  data sets aka information ) is mined for ease of access,to ensure speed and reliability of information available on almost any conceivable topic. Does this affect the blogging community – it sure does. Everything we write is collected, curated, pooled through the various social media sites, making anonymity virtually impossible. By whatever name you wish to be called you are known. If you can b...

Blogging and that's my Jazz!

Get Ready... 2016 - is a year I take chances and challenge myself to do something different.I need to! My present has changed - life happens and the choices are “Live, live, live.” So here I am jumping into something with uncertainty.  A few months ago I started blogging on LinkedIn and it has helped me to find solace and a place of peace in my words. I read and commented, engaged and enjoyed sharing with many wonderful people from different places all around the world. Now I understand its a whole new world my eyes and mind had never seen. It has life and can breathe. Social media and social communities are an evolution in technology and has been here for some time. I just caught the train via LinkedIn rail and my journey has fully started. No more standing in line! Get Set... Taking a step to share what I normally would to a sales team in person via a blog takes a lot of planning. The first week of two minute daily posts, are done and the images to bring them to life ...

Writing Write - My Words For You!

Writing on writing.... How do I know what to write? There are few times I intend to write. Writing is a reflex action driven by my emotions. When I have intense joy, sadness, anger, and love I feel the words in my head, sometimes my heart, and a powerful desire to pen them. There was never a consideration to become an author, journalist, copywriter or any such career which involved someone reading my words. Somehow, I have been lying to myself; I have always been writing, and expressing on paper, electronic or otherwise, a message. In business, my team and managers quickly realized this ability, and I would prepare drafts, briefs, contracts, sales proposals, and customer / business reviews. Researching and reading is easy for someone who enjoys words. It becomes easier for someone who likes experimenting and welcomes challenges and change. Business expression is life expression. Words communicate benefits, and therefore I write. There is a story in everything. One of ...

Storytelling , Orientation & Me

Growing up I never thought I was poor until someone said I was. Did I believe them -no, because poverty was associated with no place to call home, no food, no family, no education, no love, and I had them all! We did not have a television for many years, though everyone else did. My mother  was a teacher for elementary  school and would help us create our own movies from the books we read. Aesop's fables, Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Anderson, Enid Blyton, and many others were the 'drafts' for our scripts.  My sisters and I were also encouraged to write original stories, poems and songs based on a theme given a few days before. We made costumes and rehearsed our lines, and every Saturday evening, we had two or three ‘shows’ my three sisters and I. My mother was the director / producer, and though we never performed for anyone else, we critiqued each other, for acting ability, creativity and realism. This simple act of storytelling theater was a catalyst of drea...
