A Rainbow Story

Photo Credits: unsplash.com/Hedi Benyounes Raced up the hill to look outside To see the rainbow colors which cannot hide The grass was wet And down I rolled Beyond my house Far down the narrow road. The birds looked on Chirping in delight The dogs stepped aside To see my disaster flight. The sun shifted past the clouds Exclaiming with glee Come out and let’s play And bring your family! As I landed at the bottom of the hill, Lay on my back, For a moment very still. Gazing up at the sky,  It was simply wonderful to see The rainbow was looking right down at me. What a beautiful sight As the birds made their songs, The puppy and the frogs All jumped up and down. Contentment and joy Descended from above, Softly whispering to me, Here is the rainbow you love! 20/03/2021   Thank you for stopping by. Dreamcatcher and The Prince

Dream Catcher and the Prince Standing above I look at my prince fast asleep. He’s one of my favorites His dreams are memories. The moments he misses With mist filled eyes. A million little kisses From his mom when alive. Dreamcatcher, I am Holder of dreams Happiness and danger And other things that are unseen. I stretch my hand to guide The light towards my charge It’s a wonder he’s even sleeping His happiness is a mirage. Subconsciously my prince knows Sun comes out after rain Hidden deep in his heart He dreams of his mother again. Digging deep into his sleep And my Dreamcatcher’s nest I’m searching for memories To help him find rest. The Dreamcatchers goal Is to help happiness unfold Taking him to God For his mother to hold. His memories feel sadly real And this night will require a disguise I’m hoping his memory mother will visit To hold him till it’s time to arise. I send my silver net Filled with his tears and dreams She whispers to him Telling wonderful stories. As I look a...

Dreamcatcher Tales

Photo Credits: unsplash.com/Andrew Baxter/Ella Jardim Dreamcatcher Tales The winds blew hard And the raindrops tip-toed The shutters banged, And the doors blew open. That flash of light, Sails into a bedroom scene The dreamcatcher comes knocking To release your fantasies. Cinderella had her stories Snow White and Rapunzel too. The big book when it opens tells how dreams can come true. With a click of the heels, and red shoes for a prize, The Dreamcatcher comes knocking, to give your surprise. The leprechauns and fairies, Birds, frogs and trees, Tell wonderful stories of how things can be. When the night comes, the enchantment, and hidden surprise, Give life to all the wonders hidden beneath your Dreamcatcher’s eyes. Of the stars and the moon, that play upon your pillow and slumber, flashes the Dreamcatcher Who anticipates your wonders. The butterflies and owls, are the midnights servers and friends, bringing all dreams To a wonderous end. The Dreamcatchers web, holds the horrible tales...

A Moon Wolf Tale

Photo Credits: Unsplash.com/Thomas Shellberg  Design by Author A Moon Wolf’s Tale Adventure lurks In the still of the night Hidden beneath that silver moon light The cry of the animals Wild and the tame Awaiting the return of Moon wolf for his game. He has lived his life Protecting the others In the still of the night He is unlike his brothers His story as told Was a change in his ways A Moon wolf never hated Hidden in night’s maze.   The birds did whisper About that fateful night When the creatures all shuddered From a terrible fight The men came with guns and pistols for war Chasing the woman and a little baby boy. As they cornered her and the lad Near the caves by the tree With nowhere to run No hope to flee Our jumped a moon wolf With his eyes on some prey The woman and the child he never did slay. Running quite afraid, they dropped guns and did flee Leaving the two souls At the caves by the tree.   The legend of the night And the lives that were saved Changed the hea...

Not buying the fairytale…

When love goes south! Well its Friday, and I'm still trying to figure out how to share my thoughts on some topics. Love is not very easy to write about, especially when you've had a lot of 'experience' in falling off the passion rollercoaster.  I've been reading a lot this year on almost every imaginable topic. However some stories scream , respond- respond.  So here is a link to a story I read and my 'well meaning, no bullshit' response! this is how you lose her  by "Emily s " "A beautiful romantic story of loving and losing. I’m not drinking the same Kool-Aid from many years ago. It’s quite possible the mixture has changed. For love to work it has to be a two way street with both parties going in the same direction. People change. As we get to know someone sometimes that love emotion cools and is different for one person. Here is some advice to girls like her; If a man loves you he will show you, by the way he responds to ...

Alice & The Stormy Dream

Her name was Alice And she was eight Her room was her palace Her dreams different place Willow was her black cat A tabby of course Micah was her pet stuffed whale With him she was never lost  One night as she lay asleep A thunderstorm crept into her dreams She squeezed onto her stuffed Micah with willow at her heel The bed seemed filled with water The storm was raging fierce All she could see was the horizon As water covered her bed!  Micah sprung up to action He had to save his friend He understood the water And from where it all began T’was Alice eating ice cream She had hidden in her room Willow was happy sharing Even licking the spoon  He could hear her tummy roaring As he told her to hold on So he sped across the water With Willow holding on tightly - hoping not to drown As he got to their destination Alice awoke with a thud She gazed around at her room And wondered about the flood  Alice looked at Micah and Willow All three on ...
