Twilight Zone - Life Tip 1

  What to do when you don't know what to do. If you ever feel boxed into a corner to do something which you know is wrong, and your core is twisted on what to do - do what you know is the right thing - then stand aside and let God take over. During our youth we compromise before that painful hurting experience. As we get older decision-making gets easier or harder based on adjusted values and beliefs. You see life lessons can take us into that 'informed zone of understanding' and we can choose to modify behavior based on compromise and comfort level. As we grow even older, it seems that the cost of compromise can be a too high a cost because wisdom can kick in - and that's a good thing. The twilight of day comes after we live through a day, and reflect on outcomes. You can grimace or smile in that moment! It has brought some challenges which can only make me stronger and maybe change my vision on what I expect for the future. This blog is import to me because you read, share and are a part of my world. For 2017, I made a decision to try to streamline my online musings and content into different categories. Business and career categories will overlap when it comes to my blog platform, because life is not one dimensional. LET’S TALK… NEGOTIATION DANCE!

A favorable place…. Negotiations need time!  This is important to gain an advantage or to be on even footing during negotiations. Desperation is the initiator of loss! The dance If you’re waiting on someone to ask you to dance and he just does not take the bait as you give him the eye, or try to show off your great visual assets, the temptation to be forward is unbearable. Wait. The person making the first move shows their hand, and is open to rejection. If you possess the skill and can get the first move in without scarring – go for it! Most can’t unless there has been an indication of interest by the target of the deal. In business, negotiation works  in a similar way to showing interest in a man or woman. You target a customer and test the waters with some details to stir interest. If that’s accepted, you go a bit further with discussions and then the proposal.
