Music to my Mood - It speaks for itself!

I Look to you. I sure look to my savior Jesus Christ when I feel the overwhelming hatred of the politics of the world and its negative impact on the people of the world. I sure feel for refugees / immigrants and displaced people, the homeless and those fighting to keep their families together and alive. When You Believe. Yes, I sure believe that we can be better people if we pause our busy lives and look closely at those we can bless with a miracle. Maybe it may seem hard if you think miracles can only come from God, but he has blessed your life with a heart which can be opened up if we allow it. Maybe Heaven sent an Angel called you - I need an angel When you figure out what you can do, keep it quiet. There is no need for the right hand to know what the left is doing. Just do it, without desiring accolades and enrichment. The joy of helping others and being an angel of love, hope, kindness, compassion and mercy. What could be greater, than being a b...

Controversial or just Keeping It Real!

Hot topics… It can be difficult to press that publish button sometimes. It’s especially hard for me when the subject matter can generate angry negative feelings. Everyone will never share the same point of view on Religion, Sex , Politics. These are ‘hot topics’ and its like striking a match and watching a combustible response when tempers flare. I’ve been publishing some posts of a political nature and its fascinating to watch and sometimes read the comments. Its absolutely insane the way people hate or love. I’m not sure about what happened to sharing opinions and having some fiery discussions with mutual respect as the bar. Hmmm, yes, it seems people have been ignited to revel in hate and anger. The level of uncaring, and condescending disregard for those suffering or in need, makes me fierce. I want to protect and shield those who are forced into a state of loss and displacement from the anger and hatred coming from some corners of t...

Freedom of the Press/Freedom of the People

A Good Man Departs…Ushering in The Opposite There is much respect  for outgoing USA President Barack Obama. The humility, respect and class of this world leader never ceases to amaze me. As I read an article about his last press meeting, it was not difficult to compare it to the first press conference of the incoming USA President. These men are so different, yet the responsibility of the ‘office’ is the same. As President Barack Obama advised the press, they are needed to keep the office of the president in check. The press is needed to keep whoever is governing from committing acts which are not in the best interests of the country. The press are the guardians of democracy and the mouth piece by which the public will know that power is not being abused. When the incoming president met with the press he attacked them, disrespected those who chose to ask him basic questions, and called them fake. In my country there is a saying, “if you have cocoa in the sun, look out...

The Changing of the Guard

It drawers closer… The thing about history is – something happened previously. It can be moments before, days before, or many ages before. History holds the archives of our decisions, actions and consequences. Slavery, and its oppressive nature happened. The Klu Klux Klan aka KKK was and is real. The brutality against minorities from time immemorial has a place in the bowels of the world. We thought we had moved on… we did not. Obviously.  Oppression, hatred and white supremacy crimes happened and continues to happen. If we look at the western societies which we assume to be civilized, we can see vestiges of something which should never be in our present. To unearth ancient civilizations it takes skilled archeologists to discover under tons of rubble, lost cities and artifacts. Many of these things we use to understand what was there before, and why it no longer is. There are somethings we can all hope to banish into oblivion, so it cannot be found, such a...

RIP… JULY, 2016

Hello world… There is so much going on, in the world, and in my world. Where do I start, and how can I stop feeling an ache, a pain, all the senseless killing hurts. That’s it in a nutshell. I’ve sat at my laptop and wondered what can I say which has not been said. How can I express the thoughts which do not get a moment to finish grieve before I hear another. This time, its the slaying of a priest in France, his throat slit, while he is on his knees – how can I not feel? This is for all the lives lost in the past two months, between USA, Europe, Africa, and many other countries around the world, we are faced with loss. These deaths are not from natural causes, but from hatred and evil. To those who lost their lives and their families. For those who share my feelings at this ongoing war against humanity. For those who love their fellow man, this is a moment to grieve, giving final rites to lives which were here. The absent friend I did not see or know you I’m so sure ou...

Just thinking out loud...

Pessimism - We all have choices everyday. We get to decide if, in the midst of all the challenges, negativity, violence and depressing news online and in the news - if we can see a silver lining, or something positive. The world is made up of different perspectives and points of views, very freely expressed online. Sometimes there are the voices of skepticism, anger, hate, resentment, bigotry, intolerance, racism and just about every other 'ism' which can be found. Today, they  are still there, every pessimistic point of view... it made me smile as I realize, something positive is happening for all those in a pessimistic whirl - freedom to express... and freedom to share. Find the things which can make you smile today. Many years ago the freedom to express publicly was not as possible as it is today, so that is definitely a positive breakthrough.... just sharing out loud. Have a wonderful day. The Sun Still Shines When It Rains - My Brother's Keeper 2

Am I not my brother's keeper?  I’ve been following the Refugee Crisis in the Middle East, and though it seems like nothing is happening, I have to believe the sun still shines when it rains. In 2014, approximately two hundred girls were kidnapped, ripped apart from their school and families by the Boko Haram. We watched in horror, clutching our own, yet feeling the fears and screams of their daughters. Their pain could be heard, the wailing mothers, fathers, and families, it would not cease soon. Time passed, and nothing seemed to dry the tears of all of the bleeding hearts around the globe.  A young girl, a physiotherapy intern was gang raped on the bus on her way home – do you remember  Jyoti Singh Pandey ? What makes our men, love their mothers less, to hurt the ones they are born to protect? Where was the sun? It shines in the rain now for others, and her death is a reminder that rape is a violent crime which should not be tolerated by any society. Malal...
